In the fourth quarter of 2023, France saw varying trends in the food delivery service app market on the iOS platform. Our analysis from Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of user engagement and download patterns for the top five food delivery services.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste witnessed a consistent trend in downloads starting the quarter with about 28K and ending with approximately 18K. Weekly active users initially increased, peaking at around 590K, before declining to nearly 372K by the end of the quarter.
For Uber Eats: Food Delivery, downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, ranging from 23K to 33K. The app's weekly active users remained strong initially, hovering around 1.1M to 1.2M, but saw a decline in late December, dropping to just over 878K.
The Jow - easy recipes & groceries app showed a downward trend in both downloads and active users. Downloads decreased from approximately 22K to 11K, while active users dwindled from 89K to 58K by the quarter's end.
Deliveroo: Food Delivery App also experienced a decrease in downloads, from 14K to 11K, but saw a significant spike to 26K in late November. Weekly active users for Deliveroo peaked at about 259K before ending the quarter with around 170K.
Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine, the only app in the group generating revenue, saw a steady increase in revenue over the quarter, with figures rising from $384 to $562. Downloads for Vivino had a significant jump in December, climbing from 5K to nearly 15K, while active users also showed an impressive increase, from 44K to 96K.
